There are three options with two different topics given to you for this write up project. you can choose either given topics or you can choose any other topic in wireless mobile technology. Please follow the instruction for this assignment because it is 40 percent of your final grade. Make sure you begin working on it from the first day of class. DO NOT POSTPONE it until later since it is only a 4-week class . I use software to check the originality of your work. you will get zero if you just cut and paste form other sources. It is okay to use all types of resources (magazine, journals, internet, books, articles…) with proper citation.
Write 7 to 10 pages (original and not cut and paste or copying) to show your work on this project. your project should have an abstract, an introduction, a body of paper (literature review , previous work done bi others, technical and economical analysis, application and services, etc….) and your own contribution and engineering/technical opinion with a conclusion and of course a list of your references numbered as they are used in your write up. Your write up can be in any format but with proper citation and font size of 10 with single space. You can use English editor (proof edit) to make correction in your writing, but the purpose of the assignment is to enhance your knowledge in IP, wireless, mobility management and sensors. you can use any format for citation as long as it is done properly. I like to see AMA (American Medical Association) Reference Citation Format . THE QUALITY IS IMPORTANT, BUT NOT QUANTITY. You need to submit a good write up to get an “A” if you submit all other assignments too.
1- research / proposal on IP sensors/actuator(IPSN).
Most of the ongoing research in sensor networks is focused on developing application specific proprietary solutions for resource constrained sensor networks. There is need to support IP based solution for sensor networks. IPSN has the potential to hasten the development of applications such as planetary scale sensing services. There is limited work that has been done in the research community in the use of IP in sensor networks. More recently, emergence of uIPv6 for sensor networks has found acceptance in the industry and research community which aligns with the vision of IPSN. These are still initial days of IP in the world of sensor networks. With this research work we like to seek answers to many fundamental questions such as but not limited to:
•Architecture Framework for the deployment of end-to-end IPSN
•Innovative applications that will require IPSN
•Challenges for IPv6 based sensor network
