Implementing the IEP

The following post has three assignments namely;

1.Implementing the IEP

A child’s IEP establishes the appropriate services a school is to deliver to a child eligible under IDEA. At times, however, schools fail to deliver all of the services required by the IEP. Is
perfect implementation of the IEP required by law? When does the imperfect implementation of an IEP violate the law? Read “Van Duyn v. Baker School District: A Material Improvement in Evaluating a
School District’s Failure to Implement Individualized Education Programs”(law review article to be emailed by instructor to students). In 3-5 pages discuss what the Courts have held on this issue.
Have you confronted the issue of imperfect implementation in your school district? What were your assumptions about the legal implications of these failures prior to reading the above law review
article? What are your assumptions now? What does this mean to your understanding of FAPE?

negatives? Knowing what you now know, who would you recommend have this surgery?
