Our mind develops unconscious bias in daily life, often at a very young age, causing people to make automatic decisions based on selective attention, threat of stereotyping, or intentional blindness. Please describe a time when you or someone you know did not treat people fairly when hiring or firing them, what happened and what was the unconscious bias in this situation? 2. How has unconscious bias influenced performance reviews and how can you be sure that ratings are based on merit alone? 3. When building collaborative teams, what criteria do you use for selection? 4. Consider the innovation and creativity module that you experienced in Study Block 2. Introduce relevant tools / techniques / methodologies in a team context.
