In this case, I want you to start thinking like a collector. Even if you have been in collections for years, I promise you that you will need a broadening and refreshing.
After reading Clark’s “Perspectives on Intelligence Collection,” in the Week 1 readings, address the following question:
Why is it important to have a taxonomy or classification of types of collection (IMINT, HUMINT, OSINT, etc) and how does that help us understand the development of collection strategies, technologies, collection planning, and methods of collection?
Explain the relationship of intelligence requirements to indicators. How important are indicators to a collection plan? How do you ensure that you have quality indicators? Take a look at the readings in the lesson to help you.
