The final presentation of your parenting action plan is in place of our usual weekly discussion for Week 8.
Get those creative juices flowing and have fun creating, sharing and discussing your parenting action plan with everyone in the classroom! This discussion will be graded as a class discussion.
• Include your case study scenario and your main take-aways based on your research.
• Refer to at least one scholarly reference from your paper.
• Include at least one image, video, or audio clip for audio-visual interest even if you choose to present your project primarily in the form of a regular discussion post.
• Keep it brief! What information is most important or will have the highest impact on your audience?
Any presentation format that meets the above criteria is acceptable. For example, some options are to add audio-visual aids to a regular discussion post, create a poster, produce a flyer, create an infographic, build a PowerPoint/slide presentation, record a podcast, or record a video. If you’re not sure if your format is acceptable, please post a question to the Ask the Professor discussion.
Don’t read or present your entire paper; in addition, any video or audio presentations should be no longer than 3-4 minutes. Other types of presentations should be approximately a single page’s worth of information.
If you choose a format that must be downloaded or viewed outside of LEO to be experienced, like a podcast or YouTube video, be sure to try it out well in advance of the deadline and make sure it plays correctly! Do not use a website that requires people to register to view or listen to your presentation.
Remember to post your presentation as the main response, and respond to the main post of at least TWO of your classmates.
