3 scenarios – choose one and address the criteria listed. This assessment is due in" rel="nofollow">in week 13, Monday 17th October at 0900 hrs. There is a small timeframe to get them marked but we plan to have them back to you before the exams.
Include
Cover page – Use the copy with English Language Proficiency on the back so we can give you feedback on your English writin" rel="nofollow">ing skills.
Title page – This assignment is 1500 words. You can go over or under by 10%. If you are greater than 20% over we will stop readin" rel="nofollow">ing and markin" rel="nofollow">ing. This in" rel="nofollow">includes the reference list. If you are not usin" rel="nofollow">ing the full word count you will most likely have not met the criteria for the assessment. So aim for the correct word count
Contents page – Includes headin" rel="nofollow">ings and relevant page numbers
Introduction – This is your in" rel="nofollow">interpretation of the importance of the scenario. Do not post the assignment question in" rel="nofollow">in the in" rel="nofollow">introduction. The in" rel="nofollow">introduction is there to grab the reader’s attention and make them want to keep readin" rel="nofollow">ing. Make it in" rel="nofollow">interestin" rel="nofollow">ing. If you cite statistics or relevant in" rel="nofollow">information, reference it. You can put the scenario as an appendices and it will not be in" rel="nofollow">included in" rel="nofollow">in the word count. The assignment should be written in" rel="nofollow">in 3rd person.
Body – This needs to address the criteria for the assignment. It can in" rel="nofollow">include headin" rel="nofollow">ings, but they need to be in" rel="nofollow">included in" rel="nofollow">in the contents page. This is where you demonstrate your understandin" rel="nofollow">ing of the topic and your academic writin" rel="nofollow">ing. Try not to use direct quotes. Paraphrasin" rel="nofollow">ing is much better at demonstratin" rel="nofollow">ing your understandin" rel="nofollow">ing of the topic. We are lookin" rel="nofollow">ing at your understandin" rel="nofollow">ing of the topic and ability to apply developmental stages to the care of a patient. You have been practicin" rel="nofollow">ing these in" rel="nofollow">in your tutorials. Focus this paper on how you will approach the situation havin" rel="nofollow">ing knowledge of developmental stages, rather than what the actual issue is. No tables or bullet poin" rel="nofollow">ints allowed.
Conclusion – This is a summary of the key poin" rel="nofollow">ints and outcomes from the paper. This should not in" rel="nofollow">introduce any new material and hence no references should be in" rel="nofollow">included here.
References – Every statement of fact in" rel="nofollow">included in" rel="nofollow">in the paper should be referenced. Intext references are in" rel="nofollow">included as part of the word count. It is expected that you use APA 6th edition. You are expected to do further readin" rel="nofollow">ing and research for the assignment that what is in" rel="nofollow">included on blackboard so will need to access library resources. It is expected that you will in" rel="nofollow">include at least 3 journal articles. Semin" rel="nofollow">inal works from origin" rel="nofollow">inal authors and theorists such as Freud, Erikson etc. are allowed, but other references should be within" rel="nofollow">in the past 5 years.
Appendix – in" rel="nofollow">included after the references. If used they need to be listed on contents page. Appendices are not in" rel="nofollow">included in" rel="nofollow">in the word count.
