When we extend kindness to a stranger, we likely won't know the difference it makes in their life. But we can feel good knowing that, even if it was brief, our generosity and warm behavior may have brightened someone else's day. Kindness is something that gives us as much joy as it does others--in giving of ourselves through acts of kindness or simply having a kind word for someone, we empower ourselves with positive energy and open up more possibilities for further connection with those around us.
