Citing Sources
Every time you write about information you found in ANY source, you MUST put an in-text citation at the end of that sentence and also reference the source in a bibliography. You may use APA format if you want to, but you do not have to. Either way, for in-text citations list the author of the source and include both the title and the author of the source the bibliography. If you use a website, use the URL (web address) instead of the author for in-text citations and the title and author for the bibliography.
PLEASE DO NOT PLAGIARIZE - do not copy material from sources. If you paraphrase an author or use a fact from a source (for example, a fact about the symptoms of a psychological disorder), make sure you credit the author or website!!!! If you quote an author or web site, put the quote in quotation marks AND cite the author.
It is okay if your paper is full of citations. It is not okay to hand in a paper created by cutting and pasting different quotes together.
Examples:
• One symptom of schizophrenia is hallucinations (author).
• Brown was the first researcher to focus on cultural diversity (web address).
• I need to get a doctoral degree to be a practicing psychopharmacologist (author).
