Aircraft maintenance process improvements

Aircraft delays due to maintenance is considered as a major cause to the lose of resources and time of the approved maintenance organizations, This study will mainly focus on analysing and investigating those causes that contributes to maintenance delays, and to come out an ideal ways in how to reduce those type of delays and to improve maintenance organizations efficiency and minimize its resources wastage. •Identify maintenance organizations processes to release aircraft to service. 1-line CRS. 2-daily check. 3-weekly check. 4-A-check. •Identify major causes of maintenance delays related to those process and list them according to how often they occur. (ex: manpower delay, shortage of spears ,paper work un-clarity ,improper task accomplishment ,complexity of maintenance task, hard environment ,lack of experience ,incompliance with authority regulations ,availably of ground equipment…..) •Identify steps taken by maintenance organizations to improve those processes. (such as ways and techniques that aircraft maintenance organizations uses to avoid delays to the above mentioned process) •Identify certifying staff (engineers) point of view about maintenance delays and issues that they face when sighing CRS, such as lack of ground support equipment, lack of spears, complicated paper work, lack of resources etc…
