Using the Michael Magliari's "Free State Slavery" and William McGloughlin's "Red Indians, Black Slaves and White Racism" PDF Files in the Files Section This week's set of readings further complicates the historical racial status of Native Peoples in the United States. How is it that Indians in different places could simultaneously be both slave and slave master? How do we reconcile the two? What do this week's readings teach us about how Indians have interacted with the constructions of both "whiteness" and "blackness?" This should be written in full sentences with standard paragraph structure and should be at least 250 words in length or more.
