Formation Evaluation Project PtrE 301 FALL SEMESTER 2015 The followin" rel="nofollow">ing project is designed for students who are in" rel="nofollow">interested to earn extra poin" rel="nofollow">ints (up to 10 percentage poin" rel="nofollow">int). You will be graded based on the rubric which is provided to you in" rel="nofollow">in the course syllabus. It’s highly recommended that you submit your project in" rel="nofollow">in a group (up to three in" rel="nofollow">in a group) which can represent your teamwork abilities. If you are workin" rel="nofollow">ing in" rel="nofollow">in a team you should be aware that the project you are submittin" rel="nofollow">ing should be equivalent to a group work vs. an in" rel="nofollow">individual one. The fin" rel="nofollow">inal deliverable should be a professional report which in" rel="nofollow">includes the followin" rel="nofollow">ing sections:  Abstract/Executive summary  Introduction/Literature review  Methodology  Results/Discussion  Summary/Recommendations  Appendix/References I’d suggest to submit your reports by the last week of November. The selected projects would have the opportunity to present their work in" rel="nofollow">in the class. Project Description: The followin" rel="nofollow">ing list shows the major producin" rel="nofollow">ing fields in" rel="nofollow">in ND portion of the Williston Basin" rel="nofollow">in from the Middle Bakken reservoir. Choose a field for your project. You need to go to the followin" rel="nofollow">ing website: https://www.dmr.nd.gov/oilgas/subscriptionservice.asp and select a 5 wells from the field selection and analyze the petrophysical data that are measured for the Middle Bakken portion of the wells (porosity, permeability, capillary pressure, etc.). There is no limit for the types of the analysis you will fulfill to in" rel="nofollow">include in" rel="nofollow">in your project report.
