Final Theory Paper: Choose one theory from the Corey Text and respond to the 5 prompts outlined in Appendix D. Each response should be 1-2 pages. You must incorporate at least 3 outside sources and include a Reference Page.

   Discuss the basic perspectives of this modality identify the underlying assumptions. What is its general overall worldview?

   In this section, you should identify how they see the nature of human persons. This should include the structure of the person (elements of person hood, e.g. consciousness/ unconscious, ego/self), the dynamics of the person, (what energizes action, e.g. motives/ drives), the development of the person, (How their needs might change across the lifespan).

   In this section, you should identify what lies at the root of human problems. This should include what are the causes of human problems, why these are the source of human problems, and how these causes create the problem behaviors and emotions we find in our client’s lives.

   In this section, you should identify what they as a therapist would do to address the problems that humans experience. This should include the goals of therapy, the nature of the client-therapist relationship, whether you are directive or non directive, and which interventions you would use and why and when you would use them. This should be your longest section.

   Using resources you find in the library or online from scholarly sources, critique this approach to therapy from a Christian worldview perspective. You will find several articles in The Journal of Psychology and Christianity, The Journal of Psychology and Theology, as well as in the Psychosis database. In this section of your paper, you are to look at the underlying assumptions and worldviews of this modality of therapy and how they interact with Christian worldviews and values. You should address the question of what issues might a Christian have in utilizing this approach to therapy?
