In light of what you know about Hinduism now, what specifically might be considered offensive or inappropriate versus what might be considered useful or respectful--and what is your reasoning behind your analysis?

Relevant terms & concepts to consider:
Cultural Appropriation: the act of taking or using things from a culture that is not your own, especially without showing that you understand or respect this culture. (Cambridge definition)

Note: there is often an element of power disparity here, historical or current.

Cultural Appreciation/Adoption:
Appreciation: the act of recognizing someone's worth as a person or showing that you are grateful for something that person has done.
Adoption: the act of accepting or beginning to use something.
