Arizona state prison

Both parts have to do with the creative writing from the Arizona State Prison we have been reading and which can be found on Black Board. Part 1 requires you to summarize and respond to the "The Storm," "In the Absence of the Moon," "A Three-Way Discussion About Prison Writing," and "Gluttony." Each summary and response should be one paragraph long, with the first half of the paragraph being the summary and the second half being your response. The authors name (or the names of the people in the the discussion) and the title of the work should be mentioned in the first sentence of your summaries. Also include the date in parentheses (2015) right after you mention the authors (or speakers' names). Your summary should express the main idea or ideas of the work in about 3 sentences Your response should state what you thought of the work and why. Your responses should be 3-5 sentences long. Part 2 of the milestone requires you to write a 2-3 page essay (double-spaced) in which you discuss the idea of prison writing in general and use your explanations of the works you read to support a main point you want to make. Show that you understand the work that Shelton is doing and the role that the magazine Orion played in bringing this work to light.
