Each student will pick a specific, applied technical problem related to security for operating systems. You may focus on a problem domain (i.e banking, gaming, government, education). The student will then hypothesize a solution to the problem. Using sources only from Google scholar, the student will research related articles, hypothesize a solution and gather initial evidence by coding some type of system using C programming language. A coded system must be included which should theoretically solve the issue in question. A metric will need to be used in the evaluation of evidence. Each student will write-up their results as a 2 page extended abstract research paper in IEEE format. While you most likely will build off of current/previous solutions to the problem, it must be explained why your proposed method differs from historical methods.
