Order Description
1) Your paper should be 12 - 15 pages in" rel="nofollow">in length (NOT countin" rel="nofollow">ing References and Title page, or any charts/graphs/lists.) One letter grade will be taken off for each page under 12 that you turn in" rel="nofollow">in.
2) As discussed, your paper must be over a specific modern topic/issue within" rel="nofollow">in the death penalty. (NOT YOUR PERSONAL OPINION ON THE DEATH PENALTY.) Only 1 or 2 paragraphs of your paper should review the history of the death penalty, or any discussion of basic death penalty facts. Failure to specify one topic (in" rel="nofollow">innocence, cost, deterrence, etc) will result in" rel="nofollow">in your grade bein" rel="nofollow">ing lowered by 2 letter grades.
3) You must use APA or ASA citation AND formattin" rel="nofollow">ing and cite to everythin" rel="nofollow">ing that is not common knowledge. Failure to properly cite to your sources is considered plagiarism, and will be dealt with as such.
4) Papers must be typed and doubled spaced usin" rel="nofollow">ing Microsoft Word, a 12-pt. font, and 1-in" rel="nofollow">inch margin" rel="nofollow">ins. Papers written usin" rel="nofollow">ing MS Works or other software will not be accepted.
5) Double space, spell check, and use correct grammar throughout the paper.
6) Sin" rel="nofollow">ince I have reviewed it with you, and you should be fully aware that APA frowns on it, I will be deductin" rel="nofollow">ing 5 poin" rel="nofollow">ints f rom your overall grade for every mention of "We, I, In my opin" rel="nofollow">inion, My," or any other such pronoun. Proof read carefully!
7) At least SIX in" rel="nofollow">independent, scholarly sources (texts and journal articles, cases, etc) and TWO Web sites must be cited as reference material for this research paper. Do not cite any of your school textbooks.
8) Sin" rel="nofollow">ince this is a �research paper,� you must demonstrate that you did research by the use of proper citations (no footnotes). Remember to in" rel="nofollow">include a separate �References� page, which is not in" rel="nofollow">included in" rel="nofollow">in the page count of your paper. It is perfectly acceptable to conduct some research onlin" rel="nofollow">ine, but be sure to document these sources correctly and to assess their credibility before usin" rel="nofollow">ing them! Just as it is not acceptable to use tabloid newspapers as source material, neither is it proper to use Web sites that are not up to academic standards.
9) Do not submit a paper written for any other class.
10) Use NO MORE than 2 direct quotes from your research, and NO quotes over 40 words in" rel="nofollow">in length.
11) Use NO MORE than one chart OR list -- and ONLY then, if it is somethin" rel="nofollow">ing that is so unique it cannot be paraphrased. Regardless, any chart or list is NOT in" rel="nofollow">included in" rel="nofollow">in your page value.

*Before sendin" rel="nofollow">ing me the fin" rel="nofollow">inal paper I need a rough draft of the first six pages with 3 origin" rel="nofollow">inal, in" rel="nofollow">independent, scholarly sources (NOTE that textbooks, blogs, dictionaries, encyclopedias, newspapers, etc., DO NOT COUNT), and 2 websites (NOT blogs, postin" rel="nofollow">ings, Wikipedia or other wikis, etc.). The title page and reference page doesn't count as the first six pages I need but I need them in" rel="nofollow">included as well.
