Case Study Analysis (Course: "International Business")
Below are again the requirements: There are two Case Studies, which need to be treated as separate assignments (2 page analysis for each case): 1. Global Talent Management in Novartis 2. Ana by Karma One scarf one hope The analysis of each case should consist of 3 parts: Part 1: Three things that are interesting for the "International Business" - presented as issues/problems (20% of the grade) Part 2: Solutions to the specific problems (40% of the grade). Part 3: How does the case teach us about "International Business" - explore exactly what we learn from the case (specific things, not general ones - e.g. how the things learned can be applied to concrete companies, etc.). Please, follow the given structure - each of the three parts described above should be related to each other (i.e. the first part state the problems and/or challenges that will be solved in part 2). Also, the questions provided are useful guidance regarding the needed content of the case analysis: - Case 1:Would you advise Novartis to require the use of a “normal”/bell-shaped grading distribution around the world? What would your strategy be for managing those who rank consistently at the bottom of Novartis’s distribution? Would you choose to act like GE and dismiss them after a certain probation period? Case 2: How does the societal impact of the venture help the growth of Ana by Karma? How could the venture evolve sustainably? Was it realistic for her to operate Ana by Karma on a full-time basis?
