predict and/or cause illnesses? If you have not purchased the Topol text as optional for the course, you can easily locate basic in" rel="nofollow">information on GWAS and genome sequencin" rel="nofollow">ing on the web and via NSU HPD
library. Genomics and related pharmacology studies are also parts of Chapter 12 in" rel="nofollow">in the Berner textbook.
Question 2
What is Boolean logic and what is its role in" rel="nofollow">in buildin" rel="nofollow">ing clin" rel="nofollow">inical decision support systems? Use one brief example to justify and showcase the role of Boolean logic in" rel="nofollow">in CDSS. Do not use any examples
from required textbooks and thin" rel="nofollow">ink of your own clin" rel="nofollow">inical scenario/situation. After in" rel="nofollow">introducin" rel="nofollow">ing your situation, use basic buildin" rel="nofollow">ing blocks of Boolean logic, i.e. AND, OR, XOR, to show practical use of
this logic to address your clin" rel="nofollow">inical situation.
Question 3
Introduce and explain" rel="nofollow">in the concept of logistic regression. How does it help clin" rel="nofollow">inical decision support models to assist clin" rel="nofollow">inicians with the decision makin" rel="nofollow">ing process? Focus most specifically on medical
prediction models while answerin" rel="nofollow">ing this question.
Question 4
List 5 - 6 CDSS in" rel="nofollow">intervention types. Pick one of the types and propose a high-level CDSS treatin" rel="nofollow">ing a specific patient condition utilizin" rel="nofollow">ing this in" rel="nofollow">intervention. Draw a diagram of the data flow between
various applications within" rel="nofollow">in your proposed architecture. Use software of your choice, i.e. Power Poin" rel="nofollow">int or Visio.
