Challenges faced by teachers
the post comprises two asighnments
1:challenge faced by teachers
write an essay for it and also include the template. For the template I already done the cause analysis.
One challenge faced by teachers at many levels is the lack of student engagement in learning. However, engagement can be increased through personalized learning. As
students' voices are heard, they are given choice in learning activities and approaches, and the authenticity of learning driven by students helps keep them motivated
and interested. Students learn when they are engaged in instruction, but promoting engagement takes careful, purposeful planning by teachers.
create a plan for increasing student engagement through technology integration. First, identify an area or content topic in which students tend to be disengaged.
create a plan for leveraging technology and digital tools to personalize learning in that area/topic in an effort to motivate and engage students.
Assignment Steps
Step 1:downloaded the Technology Integration Plan for Engaging Students Template and began gathering information in some of the sections. Using the same template,
complete the rest of the sections:
Background.
Current Conditions.
Goals and Target Condition.
Cause Analysis.
Intervention Using Technology Integration.
Implementation Plan.
Results and Follow Up.
Be sure that you collect information from students in regard to the root causes of disengagement and suggestions on technology integration and other instructional
practices that would be most likely to increase their engagement.
Step 2: After you complete the template, create a Kaltura screen-capture presentation of your Technology Integration Plan for Engaging Students. Your presentation
should be 4-5 minutes long. This presentation is what you will submit for the assignment.
In the presentation, show the completed template and use it as a guide to help explain your plan to increase student engagement through implementation of an
intervention using technology integration. Act as a teacher explaining your plan to a colleague or administrator.
Address the following in your presentation:
Assess current status of engagement.
Identify potential causes of student disengagement supported by your student reporting.
Explain how the intervention you will implement uses technology integration to address root causes of student disengagement and increase student engagement through
personalized learning.
Plan for evaluating results and next steps.
Discussion 1 page
Discuss the development of the final sections of your Technology Integration Plan.
What technology/digital tools have you decided to use to support your intervention? What is your rationale for choosing that technology?
Describe your intervention. Discuss the who, what, when, where, and how, as indicated in your plan.
How will you evaluate the results of your intervention? Based on the current condition and the target condition of engagement with your students, how will you know if
your intervention has been successful, and to what extent?
How will you share what you learn from your plan with others?
What are the next steps if your intervention works? What are the next steps if your intervention does not work?
2:Production Cost Analysis and Estimation Applied Problems
complete the following two applied problems:
Problem 1:
William is the owner of a small pizza shop and is thinking of increasing products and lowering costs. William’s pizza shop owns four ovens and the cost of the four
ovens is $1,000. Each worker is paid $500 per week.
Workers employed Qty of pizzas produced per
0 0
1 75
2 180
3 360
4 600
5 900
6 1140
7 1260
8 1360
Show all of your calculations and processes. Describe your answer for each question in complete sentences, whenever it is necessary.
Which
inputs are fixed and which are variable
in the production function of William’s pizza shop? Over what ranges do there appear to be
increas
ing, constant, and/or
dim
inish
ing returns to the number of workers employed?
What number of workers appears to be most efficient
in terms of pizza product per worker?
What number of workers appears to m
inimize the marg
inal cost of pizza production assum
ing that each pizza worker is paid $500 per week?
Why would marg
inal productivity decl
ine when you hire more workers
in the short run after a certa
in level?
How would expand
ing the bus
iness affect the economies of scale? When would you have constant returns to scale or diseconomies of scale? Describe your answer.
Problem 2:
The Paradise Shoes Company has estimated its weekly TVC function from data collected over the past several months, as TVC = 3450 + 20Q + 0.008Q2 where TVC represents
the total variable cost and Q represents pairs of shoes produced per week. And its demand equation is Q = 4100 – 25P. The company is currently produc
ing 1,000 pairs of
shoes weekly and is consider
ing expand
ing its output to 1,200 pairs of shoes weekly. To do this, it will have to lease another shoe-mak
ing mach
ine ($2,000 per week
fixed payment until the lease period ends).
Show all of your calculations and processes. Describe your answer for each item below
in complete sentences, whenever it is necessary.
Describe and derive an expression for the marg
inal cost (MC) curve.
Describe and estimate the
incremental costs of the extra 200 pairs per week (from 1,000 pairs to 1,200 pairs of shoes).
What are the profit-maximiz
ing price and output levels for Paradise Shoes? Describe and calculate the profit-maximiz
ing price and output.
Discuss whether or not Paradise Shoes should expand its output further beyond 1,200 pairs per week. State all assumptions and qualifications that underlie your
recommendation.
