Character analysis

.Characters are those people who make something happen or produce an effect in a story. Using imagery indicative of whom they are, describe and explain the key characters in one or more of the stories we have read in class. Employ the concepts of round and flat characters.

.The narrator in a story refers to the author’s choice for point of view. First, explain the point of view in one or more of the stories we’ve read in class. Then, explain why the point of view was employed, using style, tone, and voice as examples.

.The generalization about the meaning of a story is its theme. Choosing from any of the stories we have read in class, discuss the various themes we have encountered: light vs. darkness, brotherhood, materialism, communication, etc.

.Plot is the sequence of events in a story and their relation to one another as they develop and resolve conflict. Using one or more of the stories, explain how plot plays an integral role in the development of the story: Use exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and conclusion.
