Read the description of each case family (linked below) carefully. Certain choices have been made by the adults in each case family that have resulted in their current situation. Answer each of the questions below for all five of our case study families.
What are the key characteristics of each family including the family structure, expected difficulties, and expected needs specific to that family? Identify at least one choice that could have been made differently to impact the current family situation. Which of the worldview dimensions explains why your choice would have differed from the choice made by each case family? 2. Next, you will be asked to answer questions that compare themes across families. Answer each of the following questions with consideration to each of the five case study families.
Compare and contrast the experiences of the case families. What challenges will these families face and what key resources that can help facilitate healthy family functioning? Which theory or theories (including the assumptions, concepts, and propositions of that theory) discussed in this unit can be applied to the experiences of all three case study families? 3. Considering your own scholarly interests, if you could select your own case family to work with as we progress throughout this course, which would you choose? Why?
