Directly on your poetry packet, continue adding extensive annotations; I might use a different color pen to distinguish your new remarks with the essay in mind. Your goal is to have at least one observation per 1-2 lines of poetry; more than that is recommended. You don’t have to write complete sentences in your annotations, but do signal any potential inferences you want to make about your textual observations.
