Students will compose a major research paper tracing an important biblical theological topic across both Testaments of Scripture. The paper will demonstrate the student’s ability to interpret biblical passages in historical, literary, and canonical context. This includes setting passages (you must select at least two passages, one in the OT one in the NT) within their book-level, Testament-level, and whole-Bible-level contexts. Further, students are required to demonstrate the skilled use of either Hebrew or Greek exegesis to the second-year proficiency (specifically this will include translation, syntactical classification, and textual criticism [establishing the text]).
