Civic Engagement

      There are common themes that underlie much of the engagement trends that Putnam discusses in chapters 2 – 5. Provide a summary in your own words of these commonalities. Provide specific evidence from the book of each commonality that you find across the categories 1 – Identify the common theme (e.g. each realm is experiencing a decline) and discuss it across all of the realms (politics, voluntary associations, religion, and labor) 2 – Identify the realm and discuss all of the commonalities for each realm (e.g. discuss politics and provide commonality #1, commonality #2, commonality #3, and commonality #4).
