Description

I am an Army Veteran who is looking to get into the legal field but I am currently a full time student, stay at home mom who who has strong values and beliefs in discipline and doing the right thing So I chose Code of ethics ins Law enforcement or criminal justice.

Ethics Paper
Baseline Requirements: Upload a Word document to the associated Blackboard assignment. The paper must be double spaced, use 12-point Times New Roman font, be 2-3 pages in length, and have 1-inch margins. No title page or references page/bibliography required. Do not use space on the page to write your name; do not do this:

Assignment Goal: This paper should demonstrate that you have read a code of ethics (copies available in the folder) and taken the time to think critically about the content. You may choose which code of ethics you wish to address in the paper. If you find a different code of ethics that is more relevant for your future careers, please email me to ask for approval before proceeding to write the paper. Students should critically evaluate their own values and thoughtfully give examples of areas of compatibility with their own values as well as areas of incompatibility.

Assignment: Read the code of ethics (COE) and answer the questions below in your paper.

Questions to help guide the paper:

How did you develop your value system?
What are the three most important values in your life?
What was your family’s influence on your personal values?
Are there specific experiences or events in your life that helped shape your value system?
How do your personal values compare/contrast (similarities and differences) with the values in the Code of Ethics (be specific and think critically; what specific values and ethical responsibilities fit with your own values and ethics and what are some areas where you can see the possibility for conflict)?
