With bar manager trains and supervises training and motivating staff Manages the preparation and storage of the various drinks which are listed on the menu. Inspects bar preparation area for proper cleanliness. Inspects RSA Certificates to determine that all employees possess a valid, up-to-date certificate and that employees confirm to the required government requirements. May assist the bar manager in the management of the bar in his/her absence. Performs related work as required. Bar Staff Purpose of position and job description Deliver excellent customer service, at all times Serve and present beverages, quickly and efficiently, meeting our standards Assist in keeping the bar, front-of-house and toilets clean and tidy, at all times Keep up to date with current promotions and new products Make customers aware of offers on our great food and drink range Speak to customers to ensure that they are satisfied with their drinks Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and workbooks Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws Be involved and contribute at team meetings Carry out instructions given by the management team and head office Bar Porter Purpose of position and job description Keep Bars clean at all times Help take trolleys full of dirty dishes to kitchen area. Always works in a quiet. Ensures banquet and bar check list is completed on a daily basis. Performs any other duties as required by management to ensure customer service. Ensure all storage areas are clean at all times and kept in proper condition according to company standards. Take empty beer bottles to receiving area at end of night Refill drinks and snacks. Bar staff required skill and knowledge Bar staff must: have a skill in bar preparation and serving alcohol be able to converse in English Have a skill in customer services (interpersonal communication) Bar staff required qualification have a legal requirement known as an RSA (Responsible Serve Alcohol) and RGS (Responsible Gambling Services) before being eligible for employment on licensed premises Concerning legal requirements, only individuals above the legal age will be employed. At the same time, these individuals ought not to be having criminal records. Have certificate in alcohol (cocktail and liquor services) Have a certification in customer services industry Legislation that may impact is; Food Safety Legislation As we dealing with food and drink it means we need to meet with the government standard for customer safety and satisfaction Work Health and Safety Act Legislation As we do have staff and customer in our premises it means we need to meet with the government standard for staff and customer safety during their time in our premises Workers Compensation Act Legislation As we do have staff who working for our company it means we need to meet with the government standard for staff compensation if there is any accident occur during their working time in our premises Codes of practice and national standards Code of Practice For The Responsible Services, Supply, and Promotion of Liquor This Code of Practice provides a proactive whole-of-industry approach to ensure liquor is served, supplied and promoted responsibly.  It also encourages the creation of safe, secure and social environments for patrons of licensed premises to minimize harm to individuals and the broader community. The Code of Practice provides a universal guideline for use by the Liquor Licensing Division, licensees, permitted and their Staff to identify and control the risks associated with a practice or promotion related to the service and supply of liquor, and complies with the Liquor Act 1992.
