Compare and contrast on visual artwork

    A. Access to a visual artwork at either a museum, art gallery, college/university gallery, city visual art exhibit (i.e. sculptures in downtown areas, artworks on display in public buildings). You can use the work you have chosen for your formal critique. B. Access to digital visual art. You have that easily available to you online through a variety of sources. Links to some of those sources are provided for you in this module under "Module Links." You can see if you can find a digital image of the work you chose for your critique. Tasks: 1. Select one visual artwork from the museum, gallery or other location described above. 2. Select one digital visual artwork. Prepare a 2-page response paper in which you compare the two experiences. How does the digital representation of a visual artwork compare with the experience of being in the same physical space with an artwork? You must provide a description of both of your selected artworks. Remember to use your tools (color, line, shape, space and texture) when describing the works. These elements of art will help you in your comparison and contrast. For example, how does 'being in the space' affect our perception of texture, or color.
