Conflict theorists are panelists

Imagine that three well-known conflict theorists are panelists on a Zoom webinar waiting for technical glitches to get resolved and for webinar attendees to join the Zoom. Over the course of an hour (yes, technical glitches can be really challenging to solve sometimes!), they pass the time by discussing one particular deep-rooted social conflict (e.g. the war in Ukraine. police violence against African-Americans in the US. anti-covid lockdown protests in China, or another conflict that you are familiar with). Imagine that you are able to listen in on the conversation. What would each theorist say? Where would they agree and disagree about the conflict’s causes and appropriate responses to it? If you were asked to comment briefly on their discussion, what would you say? To answer this question, please choose a conflict you are familiar with. Choose three theorists, one from each of the following groups: a. (Avruch or Ross), b. (Collier or Duffield), and c. (Cobb or Foucault).
