The first submittal for the class is to provide the instructor information relative to their specific internship. This is to provide the instructor background information about the company the intem worked for (or work for), supervisors, job duties, etc. Provide the following information: 1. Name of company 2. Internship period (starting date — finish date) 3. Supervisor's name and contact information (phone number and email address) 4. Job duties 5. Location — as well as physical location, indicate whether it was at a construction site or company office or both 6. Offer made — indicate whether the company offered a permanent position after graduation or possibly another internship for the next summer
To successfully complete this course, you must submit a report describing your work experience The report format is a bound, 15-20page, typed, size-12, Arial, single spaced, 1-inch margin all sides. NOTE: The report is to be written in the third person tense (He, his, him, the intem, they, etc.) and NOT the first person (I, my, me, us,etc.). If it is not written in the third person it will be rejected. In addition, you shall submit an electronic copy of the intern information, Outline, Draft and final paper in Word format. The report must contain the following nine sections:
- Cover Page: Report title, author's name, course number, university name, instructors name, and date.
- Table of Contents: headings/subheadings and page numbers. See "Table of Contents" of any textbook for guidance. 3. Company Profile: describe your employers type of business and specify its construction sector, annual volume of work, number of employees, years in the business, org-chart, etc.

Project Assignment: Describe the project(s) on which you worked and specify size, features, challenges, start and finish dates, and budget. - Duties and Responsibilities: Describe the functions/duties/responsibilities given to you during this experience and include supporting documents to substantiate your statements (i.e., graphs, photos, figures, etc). 6. Teamwork: Describe how you managed to fit into a project construction team and what challenges you had to become accepted. Also describe how all the members of a project team work together to make the project successful. Give examples of how you developed construction management skills. 7. Examples of Safety and Ethics Learned: Describe a few good examples of safety and ethics issues you witnessed and learned from during your work experience. Specific incidences that you experienced must be described and text will include location and context of the events. Additional lesson learned topics are also required for inclusion in your report.
- Concluding Remarks: Summarize the skills and knowledge you gained from this construction experience and specify ways to improve such benefits for other future students.
