Our views and understanding of CSR may be informed from a number of different sources and experiences which extend beyond the classroom.
When completing this e-portfolio you may find it useful to consider CSR in one of the following sectors which might include: Hospitality, Event Management, Sports Business, Business or other related community or environment sectors in your own country.
Section 1: Your own understanding of CSR [previous or most recent experiences]
In section one you are encouraged to capture your learning journey of CSR so far. In particular we would like you to think back about your understanding and awareness of Corporate Social Responsibility before this module. This understanding may have been informed by your earlier studies and/or a project you were involved in; work experiences within an organisation, reporting of CSR in social media, popular culture, or social justice activities in your own country.

Section 2: Thinking more critically about what organisations say and do
In section two, you are required to conduct a mini-literature review on the challenges facing employees and/or managers within organisations where there has been a ‘word-deed’ misalignment. Please use a maximum of 5 journal articles/reports to research this aspect of CSR. You are encouraged to use examples from organisations where possible.
You are advised to clearly present and discuss your findings and consider the implications of these findings
Section 3: Putting people at the heart of CSR -
In this section you are required to address and consider what insights, benefits, and impact can a person-centred view of CSR bring. A person-centred approach has increased in popularity and draws on organisational behaviour, HRM and people management to enhance our understanding of CSR.

Where are you now? Discuss how might your understanding and knowledge of CSR may impact and influence your future thinking and decision making.
Reflect on your CSR learning and identify and highlight any milestones in your knowledge and understanding that has contributed to where you are now.
Identify contemporary management problems and subject them to rigorous analysis by combining theory and practice in a novel manner
