You can pretend that I went to the event on March 9. You can make up some information about the performance according to my topic. Then you can use the information on the Internet and the concepts in my slides to complete my article. I'll give you all the slides for the class. I need a writer who can communicate with me in time. If you can't fulfill the order or reply to the message in time. please don't accept my order. Thank you!
We have spent the semester learning about culture, what brings cultures together and how intercultural communication transpires and the challenges of becoming interculturally competent. For this assignment, I want you to "field test' some of the knowledge you are gaining from this class and employ these range of tools to analyze an intercultural event. Events can be festivals, cultural events such as music or theater performances, storytelling, craft demonstrations, etc. You can also volunteer at an event and use that as a focal point. This paper is not simply a description of what happened, although you should begin with a description of the event. Rather you will analyze the event by using a selection of culture general constructs and theories from the book. such as:
Was there an imperative (demographic, technological. economic, peace or interpersonal) behind the event's purpose? How was this accomplished? (or not) (ch.1) Can you apply the Cultural Iceberg framework (ch. 2) How was intercultural competence reflected using the BASIC scale? (ch.3) Were there any instances where you used the process of description, interpretation and evaluation (D-I-E) to stop from passing judgment (evaluating) before completely assessing a situation (describing it neutrally) and contemplating alternative explanations for it (interpreting). (ch. 3) What are some beliefs. values, norms you observed? (ch. 4) Were there any dimensionsforientations from cultural taxonomies present? (ch. 5) Did you notice any ethnocentrism? Stereotyping? Racism? Prejudice? (ch. 6) What were some verbal and nonverbal codes you observed? Participated in? How about relationship rules among participants on the outcome of encounters? (Ch. 7 &8)
