Cost of becoming a doctor

  While G, S, &R's success in becoming doctors is of course something to celebrate, there are costs to this success. In Chapters 11 — 12, Rameck has to give up his dream of becoming a rapper and his vision of a life with Kay in order to continue with his studies. Do you think he made the "right" choice? Why or why not? Did Sam and George also sacrifice something in order to become doctors? If yes, what did they sacrifice? Does achieving an important goal always entail sacrifice?
