Crisis Communication

Submit a three-page (minimum 750 words) crisis communication plan outline. The plan can be for an organization of your choice. This is an outline for a crisis communication plan and not a crisis plan. The plan outline should, at a minimum, include the following items: The introduction should engage the reader in the crisis communication plan and clearly present a summary of the main points. Explain the purpose, scope and goal of the plan. Include assumptions or assumed situations, which is a result of assessing risk for your organization. Define expected audiences—both internal and external. Include a communication strategy. Include a concept of operations for communications. implement in your crisis communication plan. Assign tasks to key leaders and staff. Provide resource management details. Part 2 (Created from outline above) Develop a crisis communications plan for your stakeholders, including a social media policy. The plan should include ideas you submitted in the above outline. Walk through how you believe organizational leaders and their spokespeople should decide and act during a crisis. Your plan should include at least the following items (not necessarily in this order): an introduction and description of your crisis communications plan, purpose, scope, situations and assumptions, audience profiles, review of leadership hierarchy and approval processes, key communication strategies, delegation of responsibilities, evaluation of communication efforts, and guidelines addressing social media. Research sources to support your ideas.
