Critical Reflection of a self made video Order Description Critical Reflection Write a 1000 word critical reflection on the creation of your video essay. The video is about the International Student Life in Roehampton University.  It is a 5 minutes long video illustrating international students’ lives in Roehampton University. The video included; 1- introduction with some facts and figures, 2- theories explaining why international students tend to come to the UK to study, 3- individual interviews with 4 students and one teacher. This critical reflection should include: ? a clear rationale for your choice of topic; (I chose this topic because I am an international student myself and find that increasing numbers of international students are coming to study in the UK. I personally came with my husband and decided to carry on with my studies while we are here in the UK (London). Furthermore, I chose to take this advantage and study here because it will help me find a better job back home in Saudi Arabia). ? a brief summary of what you learned about your topic from academic sources; (PLEASE INCLUDE THE TOW THEORIES USED IN THE VIDEO AND EXPLAIN HOW THIS ENHANCED MY KNOWLEDGE ON THE TOPIC. USE OTHER ACADEMIC SOURCES TO FURTHER SUPPORT THIS). ? a reflection on the production processes involved in the creation of the video; I tried to demonstrate an understanding of the grammar of film and edited to ?communicate meaning effectively (please use sources that demonstrate this point). I tried to meet acceptable technical standards, e.g. with respect to picture clarity, white ?balance, lighting and sound quality. A well as explore the topic critically with reference to a range of sources including the appropriate literature. 1-I have used the program named (iMovie) from my Mac laptop. 2-managed to find some relevant pictures that reflect the ideas while talking about them. 3-used one important graph from an academic source. 4-took short individual videos my self; one of my teacher and 4 of international students by using a professional camera. 5-filtered and edited those mini videos to fit the video. 6-recorded my personal voice and a colleague of mine explaining the theories and added it to the beginning of the video.
