1) Explain why you have chosen your specific area of study in advanced practice nursing
over other types of advanced practice nursing.
2) Describe your future as an advanced practice nurse (include type of clinical practice).

Above average - the content of work is complete, accurate and at a high level. The work
demonstrates excellent comprehension of the subject and incorporates sound critical and analytic
thinking. The work shows innovative ideas on the subject and demonstrates much effort and
personal involvement with the topic. There is careful attention to many details and the work
includes different perspectives. The writing style is clear and succinct with correct structure,
grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Work is very good to exceptional. APA format followed.
Average- the content of work is clear and explicit with more than adequate comprehension. The
work contains some degree of critical and analytic thinking. It demonstrates some evidence of
personal involvement with the topic and covers most details and perspectives. Consideration of
additional details and perspectives would have improved the paper. In most cases, the writing
style is succinct and clear with correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Work is of adequate
to good quality. APA format followed.
Below Average- the work demonstrates fair comprehension of the subject but there are some
weaknesses in content. Important details or perspectives are left out. There is minimal evidence
of critical and analytic thinking and minimal evidence of personal involvement with the topic.
There are several errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling and at times, lacks clarity and is
not succinct. APA format not followed.
