A behavior that I choose to change is thinking positive, especially about myself. I’m an independent woman that has a hard time relying on others, and this can be challenging because I tend to be hard on myself. I tend to criticize over my work or anything that I say or do that it gives me anxiety. I picked this behavior because it affects my everyday life, as I tend to overthink things and worry about what I say or do. I have tried changing this element by doing mindfulness meditations, as doing yoga. It was hard for me to change this behavior because I wasn’t consistent in changing my thinking. An intervention that I am going to use comes from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The intervention is reframing thoughts, as I will be identifying automatic thoughts that are associated with negative emotions and will reframe the thought with positive ones. Hopefully, I have a positive experience with the change in behavior. I know it’s going to be challenging, but I have to be consistent because it’s a behavior that I genuinely want to change.
