For this lesson the children will be taught, using different methods, based on progress to:
• Learn how to recognize letters and sound.
• Learn to pronounce letters of the alphabet
• Learn to sort objects by identifying patterns

Using this to form a foundation of them learning to read and write, which helps their cognitive development to understand instructions given. This will also help with
their social and emotional development as they’ll receive confidence to try new and harder tasks. Language development is also a byproduct of this lesson as
pronunciation of letters is the foundation of pronouncing words then sentences.
What 21st Century learning Skills are addressed?
This forms the basis of their communication skills and information literacy. It also addresses social skills as they are being taught to pronounce words and letters.
