Designing for Production

In Module Four, you will prepare a written plan and identify the means of production you in" rel="nofollow">intend to use for the new busin" rel="nofollow">iness opportunity. Prompt: Buildin" rel="nofollow">ing on the discussion in" rel="nofollow">in this module, consider the followin" rel="nofollow">ing:  What tools/techniques were used in" rel="nofollow">in your design, such as quality function deployment, value stream mappin" rel="nofollow">ing, and JIT? What technologies were used to support your design, such as concurrent engin" rel="nofollow">ineerin" rel="nofollow">ing, computer-aided design, or value analysis?  Describe how you in" rel="nofollow">incorporated the concepts of lean operations and lean services in" rel="nofollow">in your design.  Identify the considerations needed for the sustain" rel="nofollow">inability of your production lin" rel="nofollow">ine and what specific efforts can min" rel="nofollow">inimize waste; consider end-of-life programs and the three R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle). Consider the phases of product design in" rel="nofollow">in your paper.  As it applies to your busin" rel="nofollow">iness opportunity, consider the legal, cultural, global, and human in" rel="nofollow">involvement needed in" rel="nofollow">in your design as outlin" rel="nofollow">ined in" rel="nofollow">in Chapter 4. Note: It is not in" rel="nofollow">intended that you in" rel="nofollow">include the actual design of the product/service, but this paper needs to describe how you in" rel="nofollow">intend to create this design considerin" rel="nofollow">ing the topics in" rel="nofollow">in Chapter 4 and in" rel="nofollow">incorporate lean operations in" rel="nofollow">into your design. Specifically, the followin" rel="nofollow">ing critical elements must be addressed:  Identify the tools, techniques, and technologies used in" rel="nofollow">in the design of your production plan.  Explain" rel="nofollow">in how you will in" rel="nofollow">integrate lean operations and lean services in" rel="nofollow">in your production plan.  Discuss your considerations for sustain" rel="nofollow">inability to elimin" rel="nofollow">inate waste in" rel="nofollow">in each phase of your production plan.  Discuss the legal, cultural, global, and human in" rel="nofollow">involvement needed to implement your production plan Note: Read Operations Management William J.
