Developing a philosophy statement

        Order Description         a) develop a philosophy statement and b) a supporting statement of reflective practice that takes into account key elements from the unit a) Develop a center philosophy statement.Give consideration to the impact of learning outcomes for children in relation to the complexity of their social and cultural word, families and learning environments. Include a range of stakeholders perspectives and ways communication strategies foster interaction and collaboration for a broad range of learning communities within an early education and care center ( e.g) leadership ,teaching staff,children parents , community members,legislative authority land trandisciplanary professionals) It is important to keep in mind that this is not teacher it staff philosophy but the center 's philosophy.This means that all parties need to have a voice in the document !The statement must be reflective of the nature and importance of professional advocacy, leadership roles , responsibility and practices Early Childhood teachers play in development and maintanance of a well managed learning environment in which educators work in collaboration with others . Give consideration to the following key issues when developing the philosophy statement : -Ways children , families and teachers and their complex social and cultural communities learn in their complex learning environment; -Discourses of professional identity for early childhood teachers ;professional advocacy, leadership , roles and responsibilities of early childhood teachers in maintaining learning communities and learning environments; -how do teachers , young children , their families and broader community members communicate together with trandiscilplinary workers. The philosophy statement must be reflective of key theories and literature of early childhood education and care but would not actually refer to these theories and literature. b) The supportive statement of reflective practice must demonstrate understanding of key elements of this unit through the use of early childhood literature drawn from required text , set reading and another materials presented through senmester !( set text =Blaine , M , Nuttall, J(2011)Learning to teach in the early years classroom.South Melbourne, Vic ; Oxford University Press..
