Personal Connection Describe your reactions, perceptions and significant in" rel="nofollow">insights gain" rel="nofollow">ined from the readin" rel="nofollow">ing and activities, bein" rel="nofollow">ing specific to demonstrate your engagement of the readin" rel="nofollow">ings. So that means in" rel="nofollow">incorporate in" rel="nofollow">insights from all the material. That said, as you know, I’m not lookin" rel="nofollow">ing for a simple “report” on each readin" rel="nofollow">ing…weave it together as you make connections and applications between the readin" rel="nofollow">ings and to your life/society. (It may not have been in" rel="nofollow">intentional, but unfavorable bias is the flip side of “unearned privilege.” (4 poin" rel="nofollow">ints) •Reflect on the short story you viewed from the New York Times. Again" rel="nofollow">in, this could be a past or present organization in" rel="nofollow">in your life. And, remember, prejudice and discrimin" rel="nofollow">ination it doesn’t have to be ill-in" rel="nofollow">intended or malicious…sometimes these thin" rel="nofollow">ings are not at all in" rel="nofollow">intentional or evil but still impact people and/or situations in" rel="nofollow">inside or outside the organization. Describe enough of a situation concretely to provide context and use concepts from the readin" rel="nofollow">ings in" rel="nofollow">in your response. (10 poin" rel="nofollow">ints) •If you don’t thin" rel="nofollow">ink there is any bias happenin" rel="nofollow">ing in" rel="nofollow">in ANY organization you are (or ever have been) in" rel="nofollow">in, then thin" rel="nofollow">ink about your friends and family’s experience as a source of potential connection. Thin" rel="nofollow">ink again" rel="nofollow">in more carefully and perhaps revisit the readin" rel="nofollow">ings to clarify the various forms or the ways we might do thin" rel="nofollow">ings (like slide 23 in" rel="nofollow">in audio/visual lesson 7). These thin" rel="nofollow">ings happen so often we hardly “see” them anymore unless we pay attention to notice.
