We further unpack the phenomenon of citizen journalism and outlin" rel="nofollow">in" rel="nofollow">in" rel="nofollow">ine the historical discourses and uses of technology for the production of bottom-up news. We also discuss the role and spread of digital only news outlets in" rel="nofollow">in" rel="nofollow">in" rel="nofollow">in order to consider broad questions on the relationship between digital media and the news. How do digital media transform the traditional news in" rel="nofollow">in" rel="nofollow">in" rel="nofollow">industries? How do they transform news consumption? In those transformations, what issues arise in" rel="nofollow">in" rel="nofollow">in" rel="nofollow">in terms of power?
