Describe a memorable interaction during your experience as a remote student or as a member of your
community (neighborhood, ethnic/racial/national community, place of worship, etc. ) that relates to the theme of
this class. You may choose to follow a more auto-ethnographic approach and describe an interaction that
involved you personally, or you may describe an interaction that you observed occurring between other people.
Alternatively, you may want to write about a significant current event the coverage of which you have followed
in the news. Approach that “interaction” or that “current event” as an anthropologist doing ethnography would
and explain how it relates to at least one key concept you learned in class. Make sure you include a definition
of that concept and an explanation of how it relates to the vignette or the current event.
