Using one of the following prompts, write an explanatory synthesis essay.
1.Stanley Milgram’s experiment reveals the impact that an authority figure can haveon one’s behavior. To what extent should one obey or NOT obey an authorityfigure?Use examples from McLeod’s article on the Milgram experiment and at leasttwo additional readings as support.
2.Ross andNisbettsuggest that the "situational variable," rather than a person'sindividual conscience, may be the key predictor in how the person will behave in agiven scenario. Discuss the power of situations, as distinct from individualconscience, to influence a person's behavior. Draw upon at least three of theassigned readings in this chapter.

1. Asch’s experiments examined the influence of group pressure on an individual and towhat extent one will deny one’s own judgment and perceptions in order to fit in withthe group. Choose at least two other readings that reveal the impact of peerpressure on individuals.
2. Choose current events or mindsets that reflect the concepts/research of authors fromCh. 15, such as obedience to authority and conformity. Use current events ormindsets to support the observations/research of at least three authors of articles
