Statistical analysis used in this study includes:
• Descriptive statistics including means and standard deviations, where applicable. Frequencies are represented in tables or graphs.
• Chi-square goodness-of-fit-test: A univariate test, used on a categorical variable to test whether any of the response options are selected significantly more/less often that the others. Under the null hypothesis, it is assumed that all responses are equally selected.
• Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test: A non-parametric test used to test, in this study, whether the average value is significantly different from a value of 3 (the central score). This is applied to Likert scale questions.
• Pearson’s correlation coefficient: Tests whether a correlation exists between two ordinal or scale variables.
• Paired samples t-test: Used to compare the means of two variables for a single group. It tests whether the difference between the values of the two variables differs significantly from zero.
