      3) 20% Film analysis 2: One Stone; One Not Choose ONE film (any film, not necessarily the ones we cover in" rel="nofollow">in class) by Oliver Stone and one film on the same topic (for example, compare Stone’s Nixon to Frost/Nixon). Or, you could choose an ongoin" rel="nofollow">ing pop-culture perspective (for example, World Trade Center compared to Alex Jones’ website in" rel="nofollow">infowars on the issue of 9/11) Students will view these films and then create a researched and supported argument. The key questions are: What is the argument of the film? What evidence from the film do you have to support that? Is the film “good history”? Why do you say that? You will not be able to say everythin" rel="nofollow">ing there is to say about these films, so you will want to pick a particular theme or issue (characters, events, ideas, visuals [cin" rel="nofollow">inematography, costumin" rel="nofollow">ing, etc]) and make that the focus of your argument. In order to do this and have a verifiable argument, you will need to have a min" rel="nofollow">inimum of five sources (three of which MUST be academic sources). Each argument is to be 5 pages (1250 words). This does not in" rel="nofollow">include a title page, charts/photos, and bibliography.
