Fire Investigation and Analysis

Your papers should provide an analysis and conclusion of the effects of ventilation, flow paths, fire stream application, and tenability of the victims in the structure. Students are encouraged to watch the videos explaining the NIST/UL experiments, draw conclusions from the readings in their textbook and expand the research with at least (3) outside sources. Students will utilize the APA 6th Edition format guide in writing their paper. Please be guided by the rubric in your course syllabus in writing your paper. Research papers will be submitted through Canvas. You will then see a report generated by Turnitin that compares your paper to its databank. You can click on each highlighted area to see where it matched. Keep in mind that it will match a source if you quoted or paraphrased. That is not a problem as long as you cited your source in the text immediately after. If you didn't, its considered plagiarism. This gives you the opportunity to correct the problem before turning in your final paper. Once I receive your final paper, plagiarism will result in a grade penalty and possibly reporting to Academic Advising if it's extreme.
