The Patriot Act is consistent in naming countries that harbor terrorist organizations and terrorists themselves as terrorist states. What does terrorism here mean? Is it the case that one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist (relativism) OR are there certain violent actions, especially when carried out against innocent people, that are clearly wrong (deontology)? Given the history described by the documentary, has the US government itself been guilty of terrorism?
