Google search for recent (last few months or few years) news on global and climate change. Pick two examples that you are interested in reading and thinking about at a deeper level. a) For each case, explain why you chose them at first and why these are important for society and environment. b) For each case, explain the basic components of the systems driving the change. What is causing the change, why the change is persistent, or new with respect to known states, etc? c) For each case, estimate and compare the magnitude and time scale of the change. d) For each case, try to have a rough estimate of their economic cost (or benefit) to society.
