Global Policy Commission 2014 Report

As we have gone through this course we have delved into the implications The War on Drugs has had on our citizens, our communities, our economy, and on our criminal justice system. What we haven’t yet touched upon are the massive world-wide effects our drug policies have had on global economics and global drug policies.
What do I mean by this?
Our drug policies have fueled world-wide drug cartel operations; have thrown developing and emerging countries into economic and political chaos, whereby governments have literally been hijacked by drug cartels; and have bred a culture of violence world-wide that has affected every country on the planet
(I know pretty heavy stuff…).
