Pick three to five poems from the Dover Great Short Poems that you can connect, that you can weave together, in some interesting way or ways. Your mission will be two-fold: To examine what the poets are doing, what stories are being told, what is being emphasized-- and to make connection among the poems that you select. You will be asking and answering the following question: when we put these three to five together, what happens for the reader? perhaps you will pick 3-5 love poems or death poems that make sense together. I expect that there are a handful of poems that use roses-flowers, more generally- that could be interesting to talk about for each one by itself, but also in relation to what happens if you read this poem and then that poem and then that other poem. However, you are not writing three to five mini-essay. or at least connections within your experience of reading the poems thoughtfully and thoroughly
